There is an improving grout method in main liquefied lateral flow preventive method. The construction is cheaper than the steel pile method. However, we were found that the crack generated in the improvement body back, when the earthquake arose. Then we developed a new grouting method by using the reinforcement. This method applied a vibration of 1000gal.
Using a time-lapse image acquired from a CCD camera, we developed a non-contact and non-invasive device, which could measure both the respiratory and pulse rate simultaneously. The time-lapse image of a part of the subject's skin was consecutively captured, and the changes in the average image brightness of the region of interest (ROI) were measured for 30s.
Platelet-activating factor (PAF) is a potent lipid mediator that plays an important role in many inflammatory diseases, such as asthma, arthritis and anaphylaxis. However, there are no anti-inflammatory drugs targeting PAF in clinical use today. We found the biotinylated peptide compounds that specifically recognize PAF as a novel mechanism of action, and that show dramatic inhibition of PAF-induced inflammation even at doses 150-300 times less than the doses of PAF antagonists in vivo. It is expected that these compounds can be useful as a novel type of anti-inflammatory drug targeting PAF.
