Many washing machines have a fluid balancer, which is effective with self centerizing mechanism. However, fluid moves to the unbalance side in the dehydrating mode, although fluid is set in the balance side after passing the first critical speed.

Emulsification and foaming using nano- to micro-sized particulate materials, instead of using conventional molecular-sized surfactants, is presented. This technology enables us to make emulsions and foams without using surfactants or with using a relatively small amount of them, but also to prepare water-in-air dispersed systems, called dry water, which has not been prepared using surfactants.
