For detection of pulsed THz waves, photoconductive sampling and electro-optic sampling (EOS) are commonly used. The invention enables us to detect THz waves with 20 times enhanced senitivity by EOS using metallic waveguide structures.
It was developed that a porphyrin was modefied with Boron asn Fluorine elements, which was used for the Proton beam irradiation therapy of the experimental tumor model. The anti-tumor effect was enhanced sensitized by the porphyrin derivative with Proton irradiation.

Energy efficient Pb recovery process from lead-glass was developed. The lead glass was melted with Na2CO3 under a reductive atmosphere at 1000 °C, and metallic Pb phase was recovered. After the Pb recovery, Na phase was separated from the glass and extracted with water. By bubbling CO2 gas through the obtained solution, Na2CO3 can be recovered.
Two types of nanoparticles are used as carrier for DNA probes. Both probes on the nanoparticles are hybridized with genome DNA form target microorganisms. Finally it was detected by electric signal based on the electrochemical enzymatic reaction.
