Whole genome amplification (WGA) is a strong tool of single cell analysis, however random hexermer can amplify all circular formed DNA and contaminated DNA which would be derived from floating bacteria and viruses, that becomes problem. Specific genome amplification can be achieved by using specific primer, even in bacterial mixture, metagenomic resources and contaminated samples.
A new type of glycerolipid designated dorsamin-A comprising a 1,2-diacyl-sn-glycero-3-dehydrophenylalanine ester structural unit was isolated from the larvae of the wild bruchid seed beetle, Bruchidius dorsalis. Dorsamin-A exhibits the radical scavenging activity and inhibits α-glucosidase. Dorsamin-A and its derivatives can serve as potential new cosmetic ingredients and drug lead compounds.
We have developed the new drug system delivering Rho kinase inhibitor encapsulated in the VA-coupled liposomes to the HSCs in order to ameliorate hepatic IR injury accompanied by the reduction of detrimental side effects such as hypotension. This VA-coupled liposome is considered to have the capacity to selectively deliver several anti-fibrotic drugs to HSCs as a therapy for liver cirrhosis.
The proposed haptic augmentation presents the force response of an object by combining the force generated from a haptic device against the force response generated from the base object, which has material properties similar to those of the target object. This method helps to develop a cost-effective medical simulator with a haptic rendering capability.
